Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Vice President, Global Drug Safety to join an innovative pharmaceutical organization. In this key leadership role, you will report directly to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and manage a team of four, with the potential to expand in the future. This role is ideal for someone with expertise in hematology-oncology, as the company is focusing on developing treatments in this area.

As the Vice President, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by overseeing drug safety strategies and ensuring the effective execution of safety-related activities across global clinical trials. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including those in Europe, and collaborate with leaders in drug development to drive the success of their innovative therapies.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage global drug safety operations, focusing on hematology-oncology studies.
Oversee and mentor a growing team of professionals, fostering a collaborative environment.
Work closely with the CMO and senior leadership to develop and execute drug safety strategies.
Be actively involved in day-to-day activities, ensuring the successful integration of safety data into clinical development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of safety in clinical trials.
Requirements:

M.D. or equivalent medical degree.
10+ years of experience in drug development, drug safety, or pharmacovigilance.
Expertise in hematology and oncology studies.
Proven leadership experience and the ability to mentor and inspire teams.
A hands-on approach to collaboration and problem-solving across departments.
Flexibility to be onsite 1x per week or month (with preference for Eastern Standard Time Zone).
