Test Analyst

Columbia, SC - Hybrid
6+Month Contract

Job Description:

• Client is looking for a skilled Test Analyst to join our team. (Minimum 12 + years)
• The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our software applications by designing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating closely with development teams to resolve issues. This role involves a blend of manual and basic automated testing to ensure that applications align with business requirements and deliver a seamless user experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with development teams to triage and resolve issues.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives) to provide testing feedback.
• Prepare detailed test reports and summaries for stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation for testing processes and outcomes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Education: Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree.
• Prior Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB/ CSTE) are a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

• In-depth knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Must be well versed with Agile Methodology.
• Proficiency in leading testing tools (e.g., Azure DevOps/ JIRA - for Test Management and Selenium/ TestComplete/ Tosca/ AccelQ for Automation).
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and convert them into comprehensive test scenarios and cases.
• Strong problem-solving skills for effectively identifying, diagnosing, and resolving defects.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and articulating test results, defects, and process improvements.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on precision in identifying test case scenarios and potential defects.
• Adaptability and resilience in responding to evolving business needs, technologies, and project priorities.
• Basics of the Banking domain to understand the business requirements.
• Basic Knowledge of API and Database Testing.
