Job Description

Chukchi Campus/UAF is looking for a part-time, temporary assistant to care for the native plant and demonstration gardens throughout the summer season. Work includes watering, weeding, harvesting, and other duties as needed.

The College of Indigenous Studies, Chukchi Campus, located in Kotzebue, AK, is looking for a temporary hire to work as a seasonal temp in their gardens.

To thrive in this role, one must be open to learning about different types of plants, where they grow best, and how to care for them. One must also enjoy being outdoors in various weather conditions. This position requires being able to work independently as well as as part of a team. Being adaptable is central to performing well. 

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma preferred

Position Details:

This is a temporary staff position. New hires will be placed on the  UA Craft and Trades Salary Table,  Grade MSW3 based on education and experience.
