Superintendent

Basic Job Title Definition:

Superintendents ensure construction projects are completed profitably, in line with applicable quality and safety standards, and on time.

Experience :

Commercial Glazing Superintendents should have at a minimum five (5) years in the commercial glazing trade, a documented record of working as a Foreman or lead glazier, managing crews of 10 or more with a focus on field glazed curtain walls, pre-glazed unitized curtain walls, aluminum entrances and other various facade type systems.

Job Duties of Superintenent:

‐ Managing a project in the field that requires an average crew of twelve (12) or more persons.

‐ Determining a project's needs in collaboration with the contractor and various subs/trades and attend/participate in any project meetings as mandated by the company contract.

‐ Setting deadlines for Foreman.

‐ Setting attainable goals for Foreman daily to help them meet their overall deadlines.

‐ Tracking (and reporting on) progress daily

‐ Equipment Management

‐ Compiling materials needs from Foreman daily

‐ Handling job site emergencies and conflicts

‐ Communicating and coordinating with Project Manager about project needs (i.e.

personnel, equipment, materials, etc.)

‐ Coordinating material/equipment deliveries to the jobsite.

Job Type: Full-time

Superintendent Qualiications:

* Construction: 3 years (Required)
* Glass installation: 2 years minimum (Required)
* Glaziers: 3 years (Required)
* Field Management: 3 years (Preferred)
