Location/Division Specific Information:

The Marietta Manufacturing site is part of Laboratory Products, a division of Thermo Fisher Scientific. We produce laboratory equipment used by pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, as well as universities, for drug discovery, research, and disease prevention.

How Will You Make an Impact?:

Responsible for transporting finished goods and production materials in approximately a 10-mile radius between manufacturing locations and warehouse location in Marietta, Ohio using a tractor-trailer. Also required to perform inspections before and after a trip, and as needed load or unload goods from the trailer to facilities. Will also follow appropriate safety procedures to transport cargo and maintain logs of vehicle repair status and working hours.

A Day in the Life:

• Responsible for movement of all finished goods and raw materials between main building and finished goods warehouse.

• May assist in receiving, stock and inventory of packaging as needed

• May assist warehouse associates as needed.

• Must interact with the warehouse associates to maintain smooth and orderly flow of product.

• Participate in Continuous Improvement and support all PPI, Keys and Lean projects

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent experience required.

Experience:

• Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Ability to meet DOT driver qualification compliance requirements

• Ability to work independently

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Ability to stand, bend, stretch, reach, climb, repetitively

• Ability to work in various weather conditions and in noisy, dusty areas near production and high-traffic zones, while following safety guidelines.

• Ability to occasionally lift items that vary in size weighing up to 50 pounds individually or occasionally with assistance from others or by applying automated equipment
