Who You Are

We are looking for a Security and Events Operations Manager to supervise day to day security operations and manage a team of security and event safety professionals in the DMV area. This is an in-person position. The duties listed below are representative of the general duties of the role and are not an exhaustive list. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Key Responsibilities

    • Assumes management responsibility on behalf of Joffe at approved client sites.
    • Oversees operational systems and management, directing all aspects of day-to-day security operations at the assigned Client site.
    • With the assistance of the Staffing team, recruit, screen, and hire EMTs in the market.
    • Coordinate event scheduling, communication, and logistics for all events in the market.
    • Manage and maintain all equipment and supplies for the market.
    • Develop and provide leads to the Event Safety sales team.
    • Responsible for confirming shift support for EMTs/Event Safety staff to ensure coverage is full and complete. 
    • In collaboration with the Rx division, oversees onboarding and offboarding
    • Maintain up to date communication with EMTs and Event Safety staff. 
    • Responsible for UDH/NBOT and managing the staffing score for assigned sites
    • Develops, implements, and maintains operational procedures to enhance service efficiency.
    • Manages and mentors a team of security professionals, fostering a culture of people management, professional development, and accountability.
    • Enforces Joffe Emergency Services/Security policies as outlined by the handbooks and executive memos.
    • Delivers high-quality security services to safeguard people and property, following established protocols and procedures.
    • Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • Maintains compliance with all reporting requirements, meeting deadlines with accuracy.
    • Upholds safety standards for personnel and equipment.
    • Responds to police and other emergencies or community disasters on Client property.
    • Establishes general and specific orders for each shift to maintain operational consistency.
    • Responsible for following the established protocol for reporting incidents
    • Develop SOPs for specific events and venues
    • Oversee billing and payroll
    • Assumes front-line responsibilities when staffing shortages occur.
    • Plans and adjusts school calendars to anticipate coverage needs.
    • Organizes officer schedules, managing breaks and shift coverage effectively.
    • Engages with the community, representing and reinforcing the culture and values of the environment served.
    • Provides training and professional development opportunities to enhance team effectiveness and preparedness.
    • Serves as an active presence and role model within the community.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    • Training & Development: Conducts ongoing education for Campus Security Officers, strengthening their response capabilities and professional growth.
    • Client-Facing Leadership: Builds and maintains positive relationships with the campus community, balancing security needs with exceptional service.
    • Problem Solving & Conflict Management: Assesses situations, applies approved de-escalation strategies, and delivers timely responses to security events.
    • Time Management & Decision Making: Prioritizes responsibilities effectively and acts decisively in high-pressure situations.
    • Drive for Results: Advances security measures, improves incident response, and elevates overall team performance.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience managing security personnel.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a leadership position.
  • Previous contract security, facilities management, military, or law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to develop and grow customer relationships.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple priorities, complex situations, and diverse teams while balancing client requirements.
  • Must reside in the Maryland area
  • Flexible schedule required
  • Must be willing to obtain a Maryland Security License
  • EMT, Paramedic, RN, MD, DO, ATC, or other allied health provider.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 2 years experience in the Emergency Care setting
