Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our team in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with a focus on developing and maintaining applications using Python.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality.
Troubleshoot and debug applications.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure applications are current and effective.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of professional experience in software development using Python.
Experience with web frameworks such as Django or Flask.
Proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries and working with relational databases.
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
