Number of positions: 1 Urgency and target start date: May 15, 2025 Work Location: Full-time onsite at Government office, Washington, DC Security Clearance: TS-SCI with a CI Poly required Target Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 Interviews: Tom Byers

Position Overview

BizFirst is supporting our client in search of a full-time, permanent Project Manager to provide audit readiness and remediation support to a Department of Defense (DoD) Intelligence Community (IC) customer. This role focuses on asset management, accountability, and the Acquire to Retire (A2R) process. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in audit remediations within the Intelligence Community and DoD organizations, contributing to achieving clean audit opinions. Our client is a specialized management consulting firm that engages experienced professionals and consultants to support the federal government with strategic project execution, financial process optimization, advanced IT solutions, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation. Through innovative transformations, they develop and implement strategies to optimize operations for military departments and agencies across the U.S. Federal Government.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead remediation efforts to resolve audit findings and achieve clean audit opinions.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations.
  • Provide on-site management of government financial audit support services.
  • Build and maintain detailed project work plans (POAMs), including specific tasks, assignments, milestones, and audit schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with acquisition and financial regulations, contributing to asset management and accountability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and audit readiness.

 

Required Qualifications

Project Manager with

  • Over 10 years of Independent Audit experience, leading to audit remediations within the Intelligence Community and DoD organization
  • Certified Public Accountant with Accounting or Finance Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience leading remediation effort, resulting in a clean audit opinion
  • Experience with writing and implementing accounting policy and procedures
  • Knowledgeable of logistics and property accountability
  • Educated in and demonstrate compliance with acquisition and financial laws and regulations
  • Experience with Financial & Accounting Corporate Tracking System (FACTS) Asset Management and Supply Chain Management and FACTS integrated/interfaced systems
  • Demonstrated on-site management of government financial audit support services
  • Experience building detailed project work plan (POAM) that includes specific tasks in support of the PWS requirements, assignments, milestones and audit schedules
