Internship Details

• Project Duration: Up to 12 weeks - May to August.
• Compensation: Between $20 to $24/hr - depending on education year & experience.
• Hours/Week: Up to 40 hours.

Position overview

We are seeking a motivated and creative Chemical Engineering Intern to join our team and contribute to a unique and challenging chemical process project. This internship offers hands-on experience in cutting-edge technology and process innovation, providing an opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of experts in an environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, simulating, optimizing chemical processes using advanced tools and methodologies, and analyze experimental data to identify trends, correlations, and areas for improvement.
• Utilize software (e.g., PI Processbook, Chemcad or similar) for process simulation and modeling.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot and solve complex chemical engineering challenges.
• Propose creative solutions to improve process efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
• Participate in safety reviews and ensure all work aligns with industry standards and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of experiments, procedures, and results.
• Work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and quality teams to support the project lifecycle.
• Present findings and progress updates in team meetings and reports.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Chemical Engineering.
• Familiarity with process simulation software, laboratory techniques, and chemical analysis tools.
• Eagerness to learn and take on challenges in a dynamic and innovative environment
