Job Summary:

This role is perfect for someone eager to dive into state-of-the-art research and development, working on breakthrough technologies that have the potential to make a real difference, both now and in the future. As a Chemical Engineer on our team, you'll play a key role in developing advanced acoustic mixing technology and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Help us develop and optimize our coolacoustic m ixing technology and equipment.
  • Design and develop chemical processes and equipment, taking them from the lab bench all the way to production scale.
  • Conduct research and development on various mixing processes, including batch, continuous-batch, and continuous.
  • Evaluate important factors like mixing, mass transport, heat transfer, scaling, process control, and process optimization.
  • Create project requirements to solve product/process challenges and support the development of exciting new products/processes. You'll also get to initiate technical investigations and prepare protocols.
  • Use your research skills and apply advanced chemical engineering theories and methods to solve complex and advanced chemical engineering problems.
  • Write reaction protocols, research reports, and grant proposals, and share your work regularly with your team, customers, clients, investors, government organizations, and collaborators.
  • Take ownership of your assigned projects from the very beginning to the very end.
  • Work closely with internal Engineering and Operations teams to make sure everyone understands our customer needs and technical requirements.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Chemical Engineering (an MS or PhD is even better!)
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • You should have strong chemical engineering research and development skills and a knack for coming up with innovative solutions to tough technical problems, ideally gained through experience in a product or process development environment.
  • It's a plus if you have experience in a range of industrial applications, such as energetics, pharmaceuticals, batteries/energy storage, or other modern industrial processes.
  • We'd love it if you have general industrial process knowledge and a strong interest in research and development, with the ultimate goal of bringing new products to market.
  • Experience in varied chemical process and equipment design and development for mixing or other processing methods, from bench to production scale, would be fantastic.
  • Familiarity with various designs of mixing processes, including solid-solid, liquid-solid, and liquid-liquid systems is important, and a good understanding of mixing fundamentals and design parameters for conventional mixing processes is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A real enthusiasm for working in a diverse, demanding, and exciting technology environment.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to be a great team player.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Comfort working in a technical atmosphere with a dynamic and rapidly expanding customer base.
